Altech UEC Announces the Appointment of Peter Balchin as CEO:

Altech UEC, the internationally acclaimed Durban (South Africa) based developer of digital Set-top Boxes (STBs) and interactive software solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Balchin as Chief Executive Officer. Peter brings a wealth of international industry and market experience to the role having previously worked with organisations such as Pace Networks, Novatel Wireless and Nortel Networks in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Peter is something of an expert in change management with a track record of successfully establishing businesses, moving them from start-ups to mature organisations and refocusing established businesses in line with evolving technologies and markets.

Peter holds a Bsc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Portsmouth and will be joined in Durban by his wife and three children.
